I am excited that you are considering a graduate business education and are interested in learning more about it at our Duke MBA LGBT Weekend.
Our diversity team in Admissions has been working closely with Fuqua Pride, our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and straight ally club, over the past several months to plan a very informative and fun event for you. We understand the significance of evaluating where you will spend the next two years while pursuing your graduate business school education, and this weekend is designed to help you determine if Duke is the place for you.
Once you visit our campus, you will witness first-hand the diversity that exists within our community. As an extremely inclusive community, we value every aspect of diversity, and we take pride in our mallway which is a visual reminder of our diversity. The mallway includes flags that represent the many countries, tribes, religions and other social groups of which our students are a part. Our commitment to diversity is a way of life at Fuqua. At Duke we expect our students to be diverse in thought, action, philosophy, and open to all ideas and viewpoints.
The Duke MBA LGBT Weekend is one of the many diversity events that we host to increase the number of underrepresented student groups in business school and corporate American. We believe that for you to have the best MBA experience possible, you must have a diverse student body to study with, to share your perspectives with, and to learn from. During this weekend you will have the opportunity to learn more about The Duke MBA experience and our commitment to providing support and professional development for LGBT students. In addition to our tremendous network of students, Meghan Leypoldt, our Duke MBA LGBT Weekend admissions staff lead is available to discuss your specific questions as well.
We hope you will take some time to look through our website and learn more about the weekend. We look forward to learning more about you and to receiving your questionnaire. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
