How to Apply
Attendance at The Duke MBA Workshop for Minority Applicants is by invitation only, and space is limited to approximately 80 participants each year. To be considered for an invitation to the Workshop, all prospective applicants will need to complete our brief online questionnaire. The questionnaire should take approximately one hour or less to complete. It includes sections for 1) biographical information, 2) educational background, 3) work background, 4) a short essay on your post-MBA goals (400 word limit), and 5) resume submission (Note: The questionnaire cannot be started and saved for a later time, though you will be able to review and make changes to your responses before you submit). The deadline for submitting your questionnaire is October 2, 2017.
Once all questionnaires have been received, they will be reviewed by members of the Workshop Committee. Decisions regarding Workshop invitations have no bearing on admissions decisions for individuals applying, or planning to apply, to The Duke MBA. Invitations to the Workshop will be sent via email October 12, 2017.
Our goal is to bring the MBA experience to as many qualified prospective students as we can. Expenses for the Workshop, excluding travel to and from Duke and incidentals, are paid for by Duke University. We hope to make the Workshop accessible to all who have an interest in attending.
Planning Your Visit
Prospective students invited to attend the Workshop should plan on arriving in Durham on the afternoon of Thursday, November 16, and staying until the morning of Sunday, November 19. No formal events will be held on Sunday, but hotel accommodations will be provided through Saturday night.
