Message from Director of Diversity Initiatives
The Duke MBA Workshop is one of the many diversity events we host to build the pipeline of underrepresented ethnic minorities applying to and enrolling in business school. Each year approximately 60 Duke MBA alumni return to Fuqua to share their professional experiences and insight with prospective students. If you have attended the workshop in the past, I am sure you recognize the positive and significant impact Fuqua alumni can have on candidates for admission. In fact, engagement with our alumni is one of the distinguishing factors of the workshop and prospective students speak very favorably of our minority alumni community during the weekend and beyond.
In addition to supporting our diversity recruitment initiatives, during the weekend you will have the opportunity to learn more about what is happening at your alma mater and reconnect with Fuqua and your fellow alumni.
As you begin making plans for your visit back to Duke, we encourage you to take the next steps:
- Reserve your hotel accommodations at the JB Duke Hotel by Thursday, October 27.
- Nominate a fellow alumnus for the May-Penn Award of Excellence.
We look forward to seeing you on campus in November to help us continue the valued and impactful tradition of alumni involvement in the workshop.
