How to Apply

Registration for The Duke MBA Veterans Symposium for Military Applicants is open to anyone who is currently serving or who has served in the U.S. military.  To register to attend, please complete the online questionnaire by September 19, 2019. The questionnaire should take approximately one hour or less to complete. It includes sections for 1) biographical information, 2) educational background, 3) work background, and 4) resume submission (Note: The questionnaire cannot be started and saved for a later time, though you will be able to review and make changes to your responses before you submit). You will receive email confirmation of your registration within one week of submission.  If you would like to register to attend after September 19, please contact Meghan Pollard directly to check availability.

Planning Your Visit

Prospective students attending the Veterans Symposium are encouraged to arrive in Durham on Thursday, October 10, in order to attend an informal welcome dinner with Fuqua student members of the Duke Armed Forces Association (DAFA).  Official event activities will take place on Friday, October 11, beginning with a breakfast on Friday and concluding Saturday afternoon.

Where to Stay

The Fuqua School of Business is pleased to provide lodging to attendees at the JB Duke Hotel on Thursday and Friday night (check in October 10, check out October 12).  All rooms will be double occupancy and you will be assigned another attendee as a roommate. If you are bringing a spouse/partner or family and would require a single occupancy room, please let us know and we will work with you to accommodate your request. Please contact Jessica Melton to discuss attending family accommodations.

Partners and Families

Partners and families play an important role in making the MBA decision.  We welcome partners and families who may be traveling with you to the Symposium.  Some of the activities during the Symposium are open to partners, however, due to space and resource constraints, class visits and other activities are for prospective students only. See the agenda for the schedule and to see which events are open to partners.  Members of the Fuqua Partners organization will be available throughout the weekend as well to help with questions around life and work in Durham for partners and families.  Partners are invited to explore Duke and Durham, and to connect with our Veteran Partners.
