The Duke MBA Veterans Symposium has taken place. However, you may learn more about the event, view this past year’s agenda and returning alumni.

The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University recognizes and values the experience military professionals bring to the classroom and beyond, and we actively recruit military personnel and veterans for all of our graduate business programs. At Fuqua, you can leverage your leadership and management skills to advance your military career or to successfully transition to professional civilian life. As a Yellow Ribbon program participant and designated a GMAC Military-Friendly School, Fuqua will provide you with the resources and support you need.

To support U.S. military veterans who are considering an MBA, Fuqua is proud to sponsor our annual Duke MBA Veterans Symposium.  The Symposium offers all prospective veteran students a unique opportunity to sample Duke in the company of other veterans — from peers considering business school to current MBA students and leading faculty and alumni. Co-hosted by our Duke Armed Forces Association (DAFA) student club, the Symposium is designed to provide attendees with an insider’s perspective on the application process, translating military experience to business school success, and the post-MBA career track.

Attendees participated in a number of activities including a keynote speaker presentation, veteran alumni panel, admissions interviews for those applying this year (advance resume submission required, please see FAQs), and a mock class visit.  This event was held person at The Fuqua School of Business in Durham, NC. Please review the agenda for the Symposium for more details.

Fuqua’s Commitment to Diversity

We are committed to building and sustaining a multicultural and intellectually diverse environment by celebrating and valuing diversity in all its forms. We believe you learn the most from people who see things differently than you do.

The Duke MBA experience shapes students’ worldview and fosters a mindset open to different perspectives, new ideas, and innovative solutions. That openness is one of the most valuable legacies we impart and it is why the entire Duke community has a long-standing commitment to diversity. It is also a key reason companies choose to recruit at Duke.
